Professional Profile
Kelly has over 20 years experience working as a professional in the legal community, including 15 years as a paralegal. Currently she is a Paralegal Consultant with Altep, Inc., offering services in the area of litigation support and discovery management. Her past paralegal experience includes employment with Greenberg Traurig, Kutak Rock, The State of Arkansas and as lead paralegal in the Class-Action Division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
Kelly is an advocate for the paralegal profession through her writings and speaking appearances at paralegal and attorney conferences and actively involved with multiple national and state paralegal associations. She is a leader in educating state and local bar associations on paralegal utilization, and was instrumental in the development of the Arkansas Paralegal Association (ArPA), for which she is a past-President.
In 2005, she was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc. (NFPA), and served in that position until October 2007. She has also served as the Federation’s Secretary and Director of Operations; its Assistant PACE Coordinator-Study Materials, its International Relations Coordinator, a member of the Presidential Editorial Committee and chairperson for the Region II Roles and Responsibilities Committee.
Kelly is also CEO of the Paralegal Education Group (PEGi), which focuses on the advancement of in-house paralegals.

Kelly Montgomery, a native of Iowa, is a 15-year resident of the State of Arkansas. Kelly has been happily married to Kyle for 20 years and is the extremely proud mother of two teenagers, Kirstie and Kenton. Kelly is a 15-year paralegal with over 20 years experience working in the legal community. Currently she is a paralegal/consultant with Altep, Inc., offering services in the area of discovery management. Her history includes employment with the law firms of Greenberg Traurig and Kutak Rock as a litigation paralegal, as well as employment with sole practitioners, as a law clerk for a member of the state judiciary, and as the lead paralegal in the Class-Action Division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in Bentonville, Arkansas. Kelly has been involved with multiple national and state paralegal associations and was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc.® (NFPA®) in 2005, and resigned that position in October 2007. She served as the Federation’s Secretary and Director of Operations.
